That can only be done by a mujtahid but for a lay person or beginners, they should follow the opinion backed up by most of the authentic evidences from the Quran and sunnah. And what the salafs views were on it if ever there comes a difference of opinion. When the proof is established of which view is the strongest and the most authentic it’s not permissible to blindly follow another weak view out of desires
