Du’a remains between the heavens and the earth, not a single bit of it goes up until you send salat (blessings) upon your Prophet (peace be upon him). حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . ح وحَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَالِدِهِ وَوَلَدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ .
آنحضرت ﷺ نے فرمایا تم میں سے کوئی شخص ایماندار نہ ہو گا جب تک اس کے والد اور اس کی اولاد اور تمام لوگوں سے زیادہ اس کے دل میں میری محبت نہ ہو جائے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الْمَصَاحِفِيُّ الْبَلْخِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قُرَّةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ: إِنَّ الدُّعَاءَ مَوْقُوفٌ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَا يَصْعَدُ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى نَبِيِّكَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
دعا آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان رکی رہتی ہے، اس میں سے ذرا سی بھی اوپر نہیں جاتی جب تک کہ تم اپنے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر صلاۃ ( درود ) نہیں بھیج لیتے۔
