I don’t know if there is anyone in this community who is a Muslim scholar or not but if there is I wanted to ask abt this YouTuber who has been bothering me quite a bit.
I’m a young Muslim sister and I’m really struggling with doubts right now. This blog will be a long one so just please bear with me.
Destiny, I’m sure some may know him from youtube, I’ve seen his videos before and I’m not a huge fan of him but I feel that he is a good debater. And I was hoping that a Muslim with more knowledge would debate but it seems that most of the Muslims he’s debated (besides Daniel haqiqatjou) have been Muslims who don’t know very much about their religion.

For example, Sneako who has just converted keeps trying to get into debates that he’s not good at because he doesn’t know enough about Islam. Honestly all it feels like he’s trying to do is win debates instead of actually trying to learn. I don’t trust him very much to be honest because all it feels like he’s doing is just being Muslim to appease his audience that are majority Muslim and it feels disingenuous.

Recently, I’ve been having doubts because I’ve seen certain clips and videos of him questioning Islam. I remember I believe he mentioned something about the chain of narration in hadith and asked whether it can be trusted or not. And I believe there was another clip of him speaking about the Quran and questioning how Allah speaks in the Quran. Now it’s a lot of small clips that I’ve seen, but the reason that it’s been bothering me is because he can come up with a lot of counter arguments which I’ve seen him do many times in the past, things that I can’t debate with because I don’t have enough knowledge. What has also been bothering me is that I haven’t seen enough Muslims that are educated actually argue with him, or at least I haven’t seen it.

Which is why I seek knowledge in people like debaters. I’ve even tried to message Mohammed hijab about him on insta and asked why he doesn’t want to debate with him and also why he has said he doesn’t like him, to which he didn’t respond obviously.

I’m young and I don’t have knowledge and honestly it’s my own fault for not educating myself enough on it but to be honest I don’t have much resources to begin with which is why I go to the internet for explanation.
